Katie has a broad practice covering general common law, family and crime:
Child Public Law - Local Authority care proceedings
Child Private Law - Child arrangement orders (contact and residence) fact finding, child abduction
Domestic Abuse - Restraining orders, injunctions, non-molestation orders, occuptation orders
Prosecuting and defending criminal matters in both Magistrates & Crown including Road Traffic
General civil disputes, including Personal Injury, RTA matters and infant settlements.
She was a tenant at a London chambers before leaving to become a sole practitioner in 2001.
Since then she has worked on short term contracts as a prosecutor for the CPS, a regulatory prosecutor for the Nursing & Midwifery Council,
and as a team lead managing e-disclosure reviews for large global commercial litigation and investigations in the finance and energy sector.
The projects covered business crime, international sanctions, human rights violations, bribery and FCPA matters, and competition issues
both EU and domestic.
Katie has a masters in Human Rights LLM and her dissertation covered data protection, surveillance and human rights.
She is a Panel member for a School Admissions Appeal Board.
Katie is direct access qualified and can be instructed directly by members of the public.
